Open dialogue box
- Open existing presentations
- Switch between open presentations
- Select, move, resize, delete and copy PowerPoint objects
- Use the Office Clipboard
- Delete, move and copy a slides
Opening an Existing Presentation
You have already seen how to use the PowerPoint dialogue box to open an existing presentation. However, the PowerPoint dialogue box is only displayed when PowerPoint is started, and you will not want to close PowerPoint and then restart each time you want to open a different presentation. To open an existing presentation- On the Standard toolbar, click Open

- From the File menu, select Open... (SpeedKey: Ctrl + O)
The Open dialogue box is displayed.

- From the Look in: drop down box select the Folder the presentation is saved in
- From the list displayed, click the presentation you want to open
- Click Open
Tip: Repeat the process above to open a second presentation. You can open up to nine presentations at once. The most recently opened presentation is the active presentation and appears on top of the others, with its Title bar highlighted.
Opening a Recently Used Presentation Recently used presentations are listed at the bottom of the File menu.- To open one of these presentations, click the file name from the File menu.
Tip: You can change the number of presentations that are displayed at the bottom of the File menu. To do this, from the Tools menu, select Options. On the General tab, set the Recently used file list: to the number of presentations you require.
